Melinonii 'Gold', this stunning, large-leaf Philodendron brings elegance to any space and never fails to impress. Not only is it a powerhouse air purifier but also adds a classy touch to your home!
Absolutely! Like other Philodendrons, the Melinonii thrives in clean, filtered water. For even faster, healthier growth, add Ugaoo's Rooting Hormone - a powder-like hormone that that promotes faster and healthier rooting! While it can live in water, if you want a bigger, bushier plant, soil is the way to go.
Stem cuttings is the common way to propagate the Philodendron Golden Melinonii. Take a healthy stem cutting with 2-3 nodes and place it in clean, fitered water, ensure you change the water regularly. If propagating in soil, plant the cutting directly in a well-draining soil and ensure that the node is buried in the soil. Either way keep the cutting in bright indirect light and watch out for root growth.
For a bushier Philodendron melinonii, pruning is the key! Prune its stems just above nodes to facilitate new branching and leaf growth from that point. , In addition, let your Melinonii bask in bright, indirect sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily and water it weekly. You'll have a bushy, full-looking plant in no time!
Yellow leaves could be the result of one of the mentioned factors or a combination - overwatering, underwatering, low light or nutrient deficiency. To overcome this, place the plant in bright, indirect light, water only when the top 1-2 inches of the soil dries out, Ugaoo's Sustee watermeter comes in handy to help you with this. To overcome the nutrient deficiency feed the plant a handful of vermicompost or cow manure. If the leaves are just old leaves, let them go - new growth is on the way!
